Sponsorship
GroundScope are delighted to sponsor Taylor Paul and Thalia Kirby two young up and coming elite professional golfers.
Becoming a professional tour player is an incredibly hard career to break into, you must be a highly talented golfer, have strong mental resilience, and be committed to practice every day of the week. In addition, you must work part-time to pay to play in each tournament as well as funding your travel , food, and hotel costs.
If you can help in any way, please donate to Taylor and Thalia’s Just Giving pages detailed below.
Taylor Paul
Taylor has been playing golf since he was 7 and as a junior and elite golfer represented BB&O county golf on many occasions which he is extremely proud of.
Taylor matched Tyrrell Hatton’s course record of 65 in his first junior open at Harleyford Golf Club. As well as an undefeated national appearance he has achieved many wins in the top county events, this year this included winning my first Clutch Pro Tour event where he shot rounds of 67, 66, and 69 for a 202 total. This -14 score was good enough to beat the field of ex-tour players, Walker Cup players and other 2023 Clutch Tour winners by 2 strokes.
There are several professional golfers that Taylor admires but the one that is close to his heart is Tyrrell Hatton, to see him go from strength to strength and make it out on the circuit has been a joy to follow as a local golfer.
Taylor’s 2024 calendar is already looking busy, he will play events in Portugal as well as other European tournaments.
Thalia Kirby
Thalia has been playing golf since she was 7 and spent her amateur career proudly representing her Club, County (Buckinghamshire) and Country.
As an elite golfer Thalia represented England over 18 times and always plays with a positive attitude and smile on her face.
Thalia has just completed the Ladies European Tour Qualifying School which is one of the critical milestones on the journey to become a professional tour player and Thalia has successfully secured her Ladies European Tour Access card for the 2024 season which has tournaments in Kenya ,South Africa ,France , Sweden and the USA .
Thalia recently came second in the Justin Rose tour event held at Walton Heath golf club with a round of 67.
